Valentine's Day 2021 at White Horse Winery

Updated: Sep 8, 2021

The frosty temperatures, snowy landscape and gray skies didn’t chill the festive atmosphere for this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration at White Horse Winery, which featured chocolate and wine pairings, a food truck (the always delectable Top Shelf Mobile Cuisine) and live music provided by the Grouser Girls whose exquisite harmonies brought down the house with their rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Shallow”.

White Horse Winery offers several seating options – outside chairs by the firepits for the hardier souls, a heated porch for those wishing to enjoy the picturesque views of the snow-covered vineyards or inside the cozy tasting room. We chose to kick back in the tasting room so we could hear every note of the Grouser Girls’ sets while enjoying a bottle of the 2019 Estate Sweet Traminette. While we were saddened to hear that our favorite wine, Gewurztraminer, had been discontinued our mourning was short-lived – all it took was one sip of the Traminette and I was in love! The Traminette is slightly sweeter and less acidic than the Gewurztraminer and now ranks as one of my favorite New Jersey wines of all time!

Yes, White Horse certainly knows how to throw a party but every visit to this Hammonton winery is special. Their gourmet cheese and antipasta boards are fantastic, they’re dog-friendly, and they don’t charge extra for live music or firepits – hooray! They also offer Happy Hours every Tuesday through Thursday, their famous Food Truck Fridays and live music plus a food truck every Saturday. You will always have a good time at White Horse Winery.
